As a Christmas is our favorite holiday, we looked forward for this period very willingly to start our Christmas decoration and special kitchen meal preparation.

In Canada, the Christmas decoration starts a little bit earlier, even right after Remembrance Day, which was Nov 11th this year.

We bought so many ornaments and the Christmas tree as well last year; however, we wanted to complete our decoration with blankets, bed linen, tablecloths and kitchen supplies, like red baking trays and cake decoration staff. Of course, everything in red notes.

Since we have a very busy schedule during weekdays, we usually choose weekend for such shopping, making nice dinner or any arrangements at the apartment like we do this time.

Let's begin!

It was a Friday evening, and we did our grocery shopping as usual. Milos surprised me with a coffee machine which we debated which one to buy for over 3 months and he took advantage on the Black Friday for the Philips one. Friday evening is time when we chill out, make a nice dinner and take a walk after work.

After unpacking everything in Saturday evening, we made our coffee first and begun with the setting up the Christmas tree.

It was so joyfully unfolding all branches and slowly putting ornaments one by one, as well as turning on all lights on the tree and on the window ones. Also, we added tablecloth and blanket bought the week before.

At the end we took our photo in front of the tree to memorize this evening, and it looked like this:

That's exactly what we wanted to be made this evening, and detailed video captured by Milos, please find in the following link Christmas Tree Setup 2024.

Finishing this part of the evening, we made a special dinner to fulfill this moment. For this time, we chosen steak with mushrooms and fresh bread.

The bread is made by me and the steak we prepared on the following, very easy steps:

  • Season the steak with salt and pepper and leave it for a half an hour on side.

  • Wash the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper as well

  • Prepare one onion, cut on half

  • Heat the pot, then put a little bit of oil and place the steak, mushrooms and onion (garlic is optional)

  • We used rosemary and cayenne pepper as well and literally any spice is recommended

  • After half an hour, the meal is ready to serve on the plate

  • Besides, you can add some salad, like lettuce, cucumber and tomato

  • Also, we would recommend the wine, my favorite is white chardonnay, while Milos's is red one

Beside everything, I came across so many other home decors, especially flowers for the winter season:

However, I decided to by Amaryllis, this time red one and I was so satisfied as it grows very fast and get blooming. I captured those moments almost every day. It doesn't take too much care. It has to be well watered and exposed to Sun in order to bloom well.

Sunday was very slow compared to Saturday and we decided to visit Oakville town, which is very close to our place, and this is the one of the most beautiful areas in this region as per our opinion.

Milos captured by camera so many Christmases decoration all over the town.

I added some from my phone as well.
